The Hungarian Theatre of Cluj is preparing for its first premiere of the 2015/2016 season. William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar directed by Silviu Purcărete will be presented on Friday, October 9 at 7 pm in the Main Hall.
Silviu Purcărete’s interpretation of the play was not complete when he came to the Cluj company. He arrived here with questions and searched for their answers, together with the actors. In his opinion, the performance was created in the spirit of Shakespeare. His main concerns were interpreting the text and the situations. The Hungarian theatre of Cluj offered him an environment where he felt free and able to risk.
